Inmex 2009 great success for Ned-Deck Marine
The Inmex 2009 Exhibition in Mumbai has been a great success for Ned-Deck Marine and her Indian representative Vanson Engineering. During the the exhibition we have secured a big order for five bulk carriers from an Indian owner.
Aluminium NDM 440 Rescue Boat
No more punctured buoyancy tubes or cracked GRP hulls with the aluminium NDM 440 RESCUE.
CAR 35 Release Hook
The CAR 35 hook is the world's only IMO/SOLAS and Transport Canada approved combined automatic release hook

The NED-DECK MARINE gravity pivoting davits have been designed for long time operation under adverse and extreme conditions in a highly corrosive marine environment.
The gravity pivoting davits of the PBR series are so-called “plug-in and play units” all guaranteeing easy installation on board.

The PBR davit is a freestanding deck mounted davit consisting of a base frame, davit arm and a winch.
The system is suitable for safe and efficient launching and recovery of a fully manned liferaft against unfavourable conditions of trim of up to 10 degrees and a list of up to 20 degrees either way.

Pivoting out the davit arm is realised by means of gravity. The correct outboard position will be achieved automatically which will save valuable time as it will only take a couple of seconds before the first liferaft can be inflated.

The PBR davit has been provided with a locking device in order to secure the davit arm in 3 different positions, i.e.: In stowed position, in 20º list low side position
and in full outboard position.

After embarking, the liferaft can be lowered to the water level. The lowering procedure can be controlled in two ways, either by means of a remote control pull wire from within the liferaft or by lifting the brake handle of the winch directly. Lowering is realised by means of gravity.

Recovery of the empty hook is realised manually by using the crank handle of the winch.
Dependent on the lowering height and the number of liferafts, the winch can be equipped with a so-called “quick-return unit” for easy and fast retrieval of the empty hook.

Since the safe working load and outreach of the davit are normally determined by the size of the liferaft, NED-DECK MARINE have chosen for a limited range of standard designs which can be adapted to some extent in order to meet individual and specific needs.

The PBR series meets the latest IMO/SOLAS requirements and LSA Code as well as the European Council Directive 96/98 EC on Marine Equipment (M.E.D.).
