CAR 35 Release Hook
The CAR 35 hook is the world's only IMO/SOLAS and Transport Canada approved combined automatic release hook
Ned-Deck Marine is the only life saving equipment manufacturer that is capable of supplying its customers with a SOLAS approved Combined Automatic Release Hook specially designed to handle rescue boats and life rafts up to a Safe Working Load of 3.500 kg (± 7716 lbs).
Of course the CAR 35 is also the automatic release hook for solely rescue boat or life raft handling as well.
The CAR 35 has been in the market since 2000 and has proven to be very successful, user-friendly and most important of all - SAFE.
Using the CAR 35 hook has several advantages;

the CAR 35 hook is 99% stainless steel!

- SAFE for the crew;
when deploying a rescue boat the crew only need to operate one(1) hook, the crew does not need to worry about being hit in the face by the life raft hook which is hanging there useless. Note; an automatic release hook only weighs ± 7,5 kg.
- SAVES money;
you only need to buy one(1) CAR 35 hook. All other davit manufacturers will supply you with two(2!) hooks, one for life raft handling and one for rescue boat handling. You can consider them twice as expensive.
- EASY to use;
one hook for two applications. In distress people using the CAR 35 hook do not need to worry which hook is to be used for life raft handling or rescue boat handing. People who do not use the CAR 35 hook will and this might endanger your safety.
